A Heart Desires ch.2 pg.2

   The two ran as fast as they could to school, though Rex could care less about going, he only hurried for Rose's sake. It was pretty cold out today, the sky was cloudy, maybe it was going to rain today?
   Rose ran towards the gate as fast as she could, she stopped when she felt Rex grab her hand. What was he doing now?! She turned and noticed him panting, she forgot that she was holding onto him the whole time, he must've been exhausted.
   
   "Hey...You ok? Rose asked as she turned towards him

   "Y-yea,i'm fine.." Rex panted tiredly as he let go of her hand.

   Rose could feel the stares from other students, hearing them whisper and giggle. They were misunderstanding, they probably thought something was up since Rex usually never talks to anyone, let alone walking to school with someone.

   "Heeeyyy! Rose!" Drew said happily as he ran up to her, tilting his head at her before giving a Rex a cold glare.

   "O-oh, good morning Drew!" Rose giggled happily before frowning, what was with that look.

   Drew couldn't help but smile when he looked at Rose, she was so cute. But why was she with Rex of all people?! This guy didn't deserve to talk to Rose, he teased her all day this morning and embarrassed her, not to mention hurting her when she tried to be nice to him.

   "You know, we should hurry and get to class. The bell's going to ring soon.." Drew said happily as he grabbed her hand, slightly blushing.

   "Y-yea...I guess so." Rose mumbled before feeling him grab her hand

   Rose began to blush again, why did he grab her hand so suddenly?! Rose got mad when her heart began to race again, but it wasn't nearly as fast as when Rex touched her. Rex...
  Rose felt them take one step before feeling something pull her back. She looked up at Rex, why did he look so protective..?

   "Come on Rose..." Rex grumbled as he tightly yet gently held her hand and began to lead her towards the school and their class. Rose slightly nodded before looking back at Drew, he looked so hurt, so angry.

    "H-hey! What was that all for?!" Rose growled as Rex turned to her

    "Because he wanted to take you away from me...He could see that students were misunderstanding..." Rex explained

    "Why would they-"

    "Because I don't have any friends in this school Rose...I'm a loner and you're the first friend i've ever had in this school. Even though I was cruel to you, you still cared...And i'm not going to let some polite pretty boy take you away from me." Rex explained protectively

   Rose began to blush, he made it sound like that she was important to him! But she kind of liked that idea, even tough she was still upset about him taking her away from Drew.
   Rose could hear girls giggle as they stared at her, she could hear little things like, "Oh look, the new girl's interested in badboys." and "I guess she'll have a fun time with Rex then." Rose didn't like this and Rex could tell that.

   "I get it.." Rex sighed as he let go of her hand and walked away towards the classroom by himself

    "W-what do you mean by that?!" Rose growled as she followed after him, only to be ignored.


   Rose couldn't help but stare at Rex as class began to start, he hasn't spoken to her all morning! Rose sighed as she rested her head on her hand, staring at the board boredly before glancing over at Drew who happily smiled at her. Rose blushed again and looked away, why was she acting like this with Drew too?! She hated this, she wish school would just end!
