As the night grew darker,Groundheart padded back into Lily's den,this time with his two pups,Sky and Mud."Hello Mud,Sky..." Lily welcomed as Mud ran towards her,"Hello Lily!" he barked as he nuzzled his leader's chest.Lily wagged her tail as she bent down and nuzzled him back,although Mud wasn't her pup,she still saw alot of herself in the young pup."Hello Lily..." Sky mumbled as she slowly padded towards her leader,her tail between her legs,Lily smiled and touched the young pup's nose,"Hello Sky!My how you've grown!" she barked as it seemed to lift Sky's spirits.The young pups conversized with their leader until Groundheart interupted,"Ahem!Now that we're all here,Lily wants to say something to you two..." he barked as Lily laughed and nodded,seeing how excited his own deputy was yet he tried to hide it."Of course.Now..Mud,Sky I have some news for you!" she barked as the two pups looked up,their eyes glowing with pride.Lily thrashed her tail to the side and cleared her throat,"It's about time you two started your training...Mud,I will be training you,and your father will be training Sky..." she announced,the two pups squealed with glee."This is GREAT!" Mud barked as he jumped up and down,Lily twitched her ear,she was excited for the pups too."Mud..." Lily said in a kind yet stern voice,Mud stopped jumping and lowered his head,"Sorry..." he mumbled as Lily giggled,"It's alright Mud,I can see your excited!" she laughed as the young pup lifted his head back up.The four talked until the sky grew lighter,"Alright!" she barked as she turned to Groundheart,"You can take the day off from hunting Groundheart,BUT send a patrol out before you do!" she barked as Groundheart bowed his head."Of course Lily..C'mon Sky!" Groundheart barked as he and Sky padded out together,as Mud tried to follow,Lily barked at him,"Mud!Where are you going?!If you're my apprentice then your going to start sleeping in my den from now on!" she barked as Mud turned and wagged his tail."O-Oh ok!" he barked happily as he snuggled up next to Lily,his tail curling him into a ball,Lily looked down at the young pup and smiled,"He looks so much like his father..." she thought to herself as she wrapped around the young pup protectively and fell into a deep sleep...
                   When Lily awoke,she looked down at Mud who was snuggled into her fur.She smiled as she bent down and licked the top of Mud's head,she then got up and stretched,"C'mon Mud!It's time to get up!" she barked as the young pup struggled to open his eyes,"nehhh...Gimme five minutes..." Mud grumbled as Lily nipped at his tail to get up.He squealed as he popped up to his paws,"Hey!That hurt!" Mud growled as Lily gave him a slight smile."Well now that your awake,let's go!" she barked as Mud happily jumped to her side and padded towards the river....
